About the Institution

Dinajpur Zilla School was established in 1854. Initially founded by Raja Tarakanath in the Pratap House, the school was nationalized by the government in 1856. The current school building was constructed in the 20th century, but its main office and library are housed in an 18th-century revenue office building, making it a place of deep historical significance.
